Skunks

Skunks are nocturnal mammals that search for food at night and sleep during the day. They are known for their ability to spray a liquid with a strong and unpleasant scent from their anal glands. February through March is skunk breeding season. You can smell skunk spray up to 1.5 miles away. So even if you smell them, that doesn’t mean they are right there. They are very adaptable and will make a den wherever shelter and food is available. The den is generally no more than 2 miles from a water source.

Some signs you might have a skunk are;

  • Holes in lawns or gardens from them searching for food

  • A strong unpleasant scent

  • Notice an entrance point under your deck or shed

Not sure if you have a skunk?
Just call for an inspection.

We offer humane animal removal and a trained technician will discuss with you the best options available. Options include installing a one way door and attaching it to the skunks entrance point so they can get out and not back in again. We then need to add additional wildlife barriers around the shed or deck so this problem doesn’t keep occurring. Our trained technicians know how to handle and remove babies. We make sure to reunite the mother and babies.
