Mice

Mice are a nocturnal rodent, which means they are most active at night. They have a pointed snout, small rounded ears, a body-length scaly tail, and a high breeding rate. Mice have a gestating period of 19 – 21 days. A mouse can get pregnant immediately after giving birth and can reproduce anywhere from 5 – 10 times per year. Because they can get pregnant so quickly, it isn’t uncommon to see litters only 25 days apart. Each litter can have between 5 and 12 babies.

Signs you might have mice are;

  • You may hear scratching noises in the walls or ceiling

  • You find rice sized feces in basement or in kitchen

  • Food supplies have been disrupted

  • You have seen them outside and your neighbors have them. This is especially true if your house is attached to another on any side.
